Hifonics

This sets the record straight on Zed Audio's, and my, involvement with Hifonics

You may read up about how I came to design and manufacture for the late Helmut Stieglitz under his company, Hifonics, during the 80's and 90's

Without the chance meeting of myself and Helmut at the Chicago June CES in 1980, there would most probably never have been a Hifonics. Without my financial backing in those early years, Helmut would not have been able to sustain the fledgling company. When we began manufacturing the first amplifiers for Hifonics in South Africa during 1981-1982 these were the most powerfull mobile amplifier available anywhere - period. Thor rated at 100w/ch was the King.

Lukas Louw worked for me in South Africa, my company was then Audio Laboratories and contrary to the claim by Maxxsonix, Lukas and Helmut NEVER designed these amplifiers

This is an out and out lie. It would have been tough for Helmut to contribute any design owing to 2 simple facts

(a) Helmut knew ZERO about amplifiers and their design and (b) he lived 8,000 miles away with no internet at that time.

There is a lot of misinformation put out by Maxxsonics about the History of Hifonics and all the lies they have put out including some recently about the passing of Helmut.

According to Maxxsonix, Zed Audio and me, NEVER EXISTED and do not exist to this day.

Then my reply to this bunch of lies posted by Maxxsonics where the existence of Zed Audio is NOT mentioned once!

My old friend Helmut Stieglitz passed away in 2017 and I was saddened to hear the news. I have known Helmut since our days at the South African Hi-Fi forum back in 1969. May he rest in peace. I post a PDF into which I have added in my rebuttals so you can see the lies put out by Maxxsonics/Alden Stiefel

I mean NO disrespect to Helmut by adding in what I know is to be true but only to expose the lies of Stiefel.
