UPS ground is nice.  Got it in onThursday.  The amp is bigger than I thought and much heavier than I expected but that much power requires a fair amount of heat dissipation capabilities.  Install went fine and was uneventful.  After adjusting the gains from my Eclipse 8455, the Deuce made my Seas Lotus Excel W18's (8 ohm home driver) come alive.  Very nice and clean sound.  The amp isn't even trying!  In my active setup, the tweeters were attenuated -12 db.  Well, they are now zeroed out. Great amp, well made and a good price.

I would Just like to Thank Stephan Mantz these Amplifiers are beyond anything I have seen Lately I am very Impressed also I like the Black LQQK not as much as the silver lQQk also I love the sides . and even without any sides on it . Its an awsome lQQKing black amp . Maybe You should have them available in both Colors anyways Stephan I am Very Impressed .

And Very Happy Sincerely Polywog

Just a quick note to let you know, that I received the Gladius.  Its stature is very impressive.  It absolutely dwarfs the RF 351m that I use for sub duty.  Looks like a Minilith is in order so I can have some symmetry!  Today I was able to have some quality listening time and the sound is amazing.  Lots of power and I noticed an improved high end.

I recently installed the Zed Draconia (no BB) in place of a TRU T4.100 with BB. The rest of the system included an Alpine 9815, CDT ES-620, and 12" IDQ.

My first thoughts were Control and Detail. I honestly wasn't expecting much, if any, difference because of the price. Plus I really didn't think there'd be much of an audible difference between amplifiers. As soon as I listened to the Draconia, I was surprisingly amazed at the difference.

(I actually had the TRU tested because of the difference I was hearing, but it tested ok, with low distortion, 100w around 13.4v, clean sine waves, etc.)

The Zed's mid-bass and sub output was tighter, and there was more detail in the music. I know an amp has a simple job of "amplifying" the signal, and this amp does just that. I suppose a better explanation would be that it doesn't color or add anything that shouldn't be there.

The Zed amps have an isolated pre-amp section with its own power supply. This may be the reason I noticed less noise versus the T4.100 in the exact same setup.

I don't think TRU amps are bad, but this Zed simply sounds better, at less than 1/2 the price.

Yeah, the mounts could look better for those who need to show the amp. My car is a daily driver, and the amp stays hidden, so it's no biggie to me. I do like the big ass heavy duty heatsink case. :-)

By the way, the Zed Draconia has a Band Pass option on channels 3/4 for an active setup. That's pretty damn cool. Stephen said he could retro-fit a subsonic filter, since I use it for sub duty as well. I believe the new Kronos 4ch may have that built-in.

On both setups, I used the 9815 crossovers, with the amp crossovers bypassed.

After 2 weeks of installing the Zed amp, I then replaced the Eurosports with Oz Matrix Elite components. The extra detail is even more noticeable now. Fingers on strings, breathing, background instruments, etc. And they are much more accurate. I can actually listen to piano, horns, and electric guitar now.

The Zed amp and Oz components are a great sounding combination for less than $750 total. :-)

Thanks for a great amp, Robert Fisher

Ok I received the amp and it works great, so now that that issue is all resolved I can give you my testimonial. "I purchased the Gladius amp with Burr Brown upgrade and it sounds great powering my Adire Koda components. I can notice many small details in the music that my old amps just wouldn't reproduce, and finally I have an amp which can match the level of quality of my components. On a side note I had a small issue with my freebie amp not working, and this issue was resolved with great customer support from Steve. All emails were responded to quickly and everything necessary was done to ensure my problem was resolved. Overall I am very impressed with the company and my new Gladius and wouldn't hesitate to recommend their lineup to a friend.

Is this -the- Steve? If so I love your work!! Always have from Rodek and Hifonics to Lanzar Opti and US ACOUSTICS which I own some of!!. Any how I'm sure you have heard that a million times. I'm looking to by some (new) unopened Q60.4's in the box's I'm not sure of the mono output of these as 1 ch. but I want to run two 4 channels 1 as a mono block. Comments? I also found a Q275.2 I would love to come across some balance line drivers, still looking. Thanks for your time,

Steve Hayles.

Just wanted to send you a note to say thank you, the "Minilith" is amazing. I really think I need to get new subs in a proper enclosure to really appreciate all the amp has to offer. It is very clean and accurate. I have not really driven it as if yet and it seems to put out more than enough power to my subs. The installer was very impressed with it, he has not taken it apart and looked inside but from what he could see he was impressed. Also wanted to say that along with the product I really appreciate all your help and exemplary customer service, it is a rarity these days. It was a pleasure to deal with you and I would do so again without hesitation and have and will continue to tell all who are interested about you and your company. Here is a link to a website I participate in with a profile of my system, for you to have a look at if you like http://tcdogg.carstereo.com .

Hi there, and thanks again for all your help over the last few weeks and the incredible product.  Since installing this new amp, I'm no longer thinking of an EQ, this is just so transparent that I fear it would only introduce distortion, and honestly it just sounds beautiful right now.   I will however need 4 miniliths shipped to zip code 02675.

Get me a price quote and I'll get out a money order by the end of next week.   In the meantime, please feel free to post the following review of the Deuce on your webite:

First let me say that I'm not a newbie to mobile audio.   I've been involved in the hobby since the late 80's and even worked in the business for a short time in the mid 90's.   I've used, sold, installed, and listened to most of the stuff on the market over the years, from back then and current models/brands.

Recently, I wanted to do a complete overhaul of my amplifiers and I knew right off the bat that I wanted top end sound quality, high power, and American manufacturing.   A very tall order these days.  In all my years in this, the amps that most impressed me were the old series VII and VIII Hifonics by Zed Audio.  I was actually considering buying some used Zed amps (or other old school American made amps), until I ran across the website and saw some online revies of the new stuff.

After the exchange of some emails and a few phone calls, I decided on the Deuce with the Burr Brown upgrade.  Stephen was very fast, friendly, and helpful in the emails and on the phone and helped me  weigh out my options so that I could get a product to do exactly what I wanted.  The customer service through the whole experience was amazing.

Now I had been told that the new Zed Audio lineup was the best stuff they ever produced, and after their past offerings, that's a pretty bold statement, and I was expecting a lot.

With that being said, this amp exceeded all my expectations in every regard.   Just to look it at, it is a tank.  Rugged build, rock solid, and absolutely fantastic looking.  The connections and controlls are high quality and easy to use.  After hooking it up, I was impressed.  Imagine all the raw power of the old school Zeus but with completely transparent sound.   This amp really delivers both in superb clarity and extreme power.

The downsides?  My 30 band EQ is now obsolete.  I can actually tell how much it colors my music (it wasn't an inexpensive piece either!).   It also makes listening to MP3's difficult, the difference in soud quality is that noticable that it jumps out at you.   If you have a weak link in your signal you'll need to get rid of it to fully appreciate this amp, and you'll actually start to notice the production quality of your music.

Make sure you have a full tank of gas and nothing to do until 1 in the morning when you hook this up since you'll likely find yourself driving around aimlessly just listening to all your favorite music.

From customer service to performance you probably won't do better anywhere else for any price.  This is the best 450$ I've spent in my life, and start to finish the Zed Audio experience has been wonderful.   I am getting ready to order 4 miniliths for my subs, and I'm confident they'll live up to the same standards.  If you want the absolute best look no further, I would reccomend these to anyone without hesitation and will never use anything else.   Contact them at the factory and you can bet they'll help you achieve ANY goal you have in reference level music reproduction.

Sorry to get long winded, but I really can't say enough good things about your service and your product.  Keep up the good work, you have earned a customer for life.

Kind Regards
  Jon Amirault
